Portland -- Jennifer McGuirk thanked voters for selecting her as one of two Multnomah County Auditor candidates to face off in November.

“This is an incredible honor,” McGuirk said. “I look forward to continuing this spirited discussion about what direction to take the auditor’s office.”

McGuirk thanked her competitors for a thoughtful, informative race that is giving voters an opportunity to choose between a wide range of priorities. “This was the type of issue-oriented campaign that voters deserve,” McGuirk said. “Mark and Scott were great debate partners.”

McGuirk said she believes her fresh approach to auditing that values community involvement and will focus on programs for the most vulnerable county residents resonated with voters.

“Multnomah County voters want fiscal accountability,” she said. “But they also want compassion.”

McGuirk also thanked her supporters. “We’re running a race we can be proud of,” she said. “Now we need to keep the momentum going. Thank you so much for your support leading up to the primary. Together we'll get to victory in the general.”
